| 内容記述 | Language, vocabulary, and social change are axiomatic theories of truth. In other words, the emergence of new words and meaning infers that a radical social change occurred simultaneously. It is apparent that new words are representative of the era in which they are created; therefore, their coinage is determined by the values or norms of that time. My previous papers examined new words and how to coin them, with a focus on turbulent times and changes in Japanese society from the Meiji Restoration to the modern era. This paper summarizes my previous research using a diachronic perspective and proposes appropriate ways to coin new words in the present Information Age. | |||||
